What you will need:
2lbs of pinto beans dry.
Ham bones (ham hocks)
Ham cubes
2 large onions cubed
2 large onions cubed
1 can of mexican corn
1 can of diced tomatoes
1/2 stick of butter
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp spoon of cumin
8 cups water

Put the bones and cut up pieces of ham into a crock pot with 8 cups of water on low till the beans are tender.
After it is tender add the mexican corn butter and diced tomatoes let that simmer for 20 mints.
Take bones out and add your spices and wait 5 or 10 minutes for the flavors to develop.

This is a very versatile dish you can serve it as a bean dip over rice and past or with some corn bread.
