Homemade Pumpkin Butter

                            :Homemade Pumpkin Butter:

What you will need:
1. 1 medium  to large pumpkin
2. 1 1/2 stick of butter
3. 1 tabs of cinnamon
4. 1 tabs of nutmeg
5. 1 teaspoon for cloves
6. 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
7. 2 tabs of vanilla
8. 2  cups of sugar.

*First step is to cut and  deseed  your Pumpkin. Cut it in half and place on a tin foiled  lined baking sheet.  Roast it in the oven at 300* for 2 hours or until skin is blistered. Let the pumpkin cool completely peel the skin off and put the cooked pumpkin flesh in a colander to let extra water drain. Put the drained pumpkin flesh in refrigerator over night in a ziplock bag to get more of the water out of the flesh.

This what the pumpkins should look like out of the oven.

*second step is to take the Pumpkins out of the refrigerator and save 3/4 of a cup of the pumpkin water and put all the flesh and the water in a blender. Blend until baby food consistency.

This is what it should look like after you have beled the flesh and the water together.

* Nexted now it the time to add all the other ingredients listed above. you're going to want to simmer on low heat for 30 minutes  on the stove. This will also condense the pumpkin butter and get rid of any other water.

This is what is should look like after everything is combined  together and has been simmering.

Jar the Pumpkin butter up. This should make 6 cups. Put in the refrigerator. This will not last long after you make it trust me.

*I hope you make a ton of this. It i easy and tastes  really good.

*Another side note* Your house will smell great and like fall!!!

ENJOY:
