Winter ham and bean soup.

Ingredients:
1/2 lb of chickpeas
1/2 lima beans
1 cup of dried split peas
1 1/2 cup of lentils
1 cup of pinto beans
1 leftover ham bone
2 cans of corn
2 tbsp of salt
2 teaspoons of pepper.
2 tablespoons of ham base.
3 quarts of water.

Instructions:
 
In a crockpot but beans and water and ham bone. Let cook for 5 hours on low. Put seasoning in the cook beans and let cook another 30 to 45 minutes. Take bone out of pot and take all the meat off the bone and add it back into the crock pot. Tip*"save some ham from Thanksgiving with the bone that you froze in the freezer". After you add ham back to the beans open a can of corn. Add salt and corn and pepper to taste. You can serve  crackers or  corn bread or parmesan cheese. This is a warm comfort soup to have on a cold day.
