HOMEMADE BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP


Ingredients: 

1. 1 peeled and cubed butternut squash
2. 2 peeled and cubed medium sweet potatoes
3. 5 peeled and chunked cut carrots
4. 1 large minced onion 
5. 1 box of chicken broth 
6. 1 stick of real unstaged butter 
7. 1 cup of milk or  heavy cream
8. 1 tbs of pepper
cook on low heat in a crockpot for 4 hours or till fork tender.


Instructions:

1.  Add half of the stick of butter to the cut up squash and carrots and sweet potatoes and chicken broth. cook till fork tender.
2. Take cook contents and put it in the blender till it is creamed. 
3. Pour the creamed soup back into the crock pot and add 1 cup of milk or heavy cream and half a stick of butter and pepper. Cook for another 30 minutes.  

*** you will not need sugar the veggies are sweet enough***** 
*** you will not need salt because the chicken broth has enough****

serve with rolls or cornbread enjoy :
