Not Your Momma's Tuna Noodle Casserole

               :Not Your Momma's Tuna Noodle Casserole:


you will need:

  1. stick of butter 
  2. large white onion [diced]
  3. 3bay leaves 
  4. 2 8 oz pack of cream cheese 
  5. 1 can of cream of celery soup
  6. 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  7. 4 cans of water{equal to the can of soup}
  8. 5 cans of tuna
  9. 2 teaspoons of salt  
  10. 2 teaspoons of pepper
  11. 2lbs of pasta
  12. 2 cup cheddar cheese
  13. 1 cup parmesan cheese
  14. 1 cup bread crumbs  
  15. 3 cloves of crushed garlic 

Step one:

 The cream sauce:
     Saute the minced onions,crushed garlic and bay leaves and butter together till onions are translucent. Then add the cream cheese and cans of soup and the cans of water and simmer on low till the cream cheese melts. You will need to stir it occasionally. then add your tuna to the cheese sauce. Take out bay leaves a this time.The sauce should look like the picture. 

Step tow:

     Boil your noodle half way in a pot of salted water. Only half way because when you put the sauce over the noodles and put in the oven the noodles will absorb the moisture. 

Assembly:

Line pan with parchment paper. Makes for easy clean up .




This what it should  look like after you pour the sauce over the noodles.



Add some shredded cheddar cheese to the top with some parmesan and some bread crumbs and some tuna.

The finished product :

cook for 30 minutes on 350* covered . then 10 minutes uncovered till golden on top.
let cool for 10 to 15 mints till you cut into it .
